The Greenhouse

Day 365

hahahahaah just kidding it just feels that way. So far we have the panels well..... most of them are here. I looked high and low for the panels. They are the double wall or Multiwall. We want the greenhouse so that it has a bit of insulation in it for growing throughout the winter. Having fresh Peppers and tomatoes, And onions, Potatoes, And carrots, beets, And maybe even some peas, beans And lettuce. Would be really nice through the winter. So our greenhouse is gonna be10 by 20. We're putting wood halfway up the walls 4 feet. To try to cut the cost on the panels, the panels are 8 by 4. So 8 tall, four wide. We can cut the 8 foot panels in half that way. It cuts down on how many we need on each side. And the two ends. The roof will be a full 8 foot panel. On each side and I think we have all the wood. We went to the mill and Bought somemore We had some but not enough. The nails You need specific nails They have like a rubber washer on them so they don't break the panels. I believe you have to pre pre drill The holes. And there's Breathable tape that you have to put over the ends. So bugs can't get inside the panels when there's condensation inside the panels, it can easily come out or Dry up So it doesn't mold. We had to Put about two feet of rock For the pad of the greenhouse because we filled in an area that had A lot of swamp It gets pretty wet in that area So we built it up about two feet. And that's where we are right now. Waiting to build. Finding the time.
